Identities are simply fluid (2026)
Although there are now more than two generations of migrants in Germany who have contributed significantly to building the country’s economy, they are still often perceived as foreigners. This is the reality in which people with migrant backgrounds grow up—between two or more cultural identities.
The film aims to approach debates on anti-discrimination in a deeply personal way while also encouraging activism. How do people who have grown up between two cultures experience their identity as migrants? Do they even identify as migrants at all? What other identities do we carry within us?
In particular, the awareness of intergenerational coexistence is being challenged by social change: What is it like for parents when their children grow up very differently from how they did? What is it like for children to live between two cultures? What challenges do they face? Do they experience this as an enrichment?
How can we, as a society, learn to embrace and hold space for our diversity?
UnSIchtbar / UnSeen 2020 - 2022
Our everyday lives often turn into a race from one appointment to the next. In this constant rush, we pass by faces—people who carry powerful stories shaped by their life experiences, stories they could share with the world.
In 2020, the film project “UnSichtbar” took on this task. A group of 17 young people, together with 4 facilitators, created seven short documentaries within the span of one week. These films tell stories of encounters across Heidelberg—its fields, hills, and city center.
Together, we drew inspiration from our protagonists—seven remarkable individuals: Doro from “Edible Art”, who was creating cakes with edible plants, Christoph Lindner, a music therapist and instrument maker, Quan from the “Raum für Stille,” ( Room for stillness) Hannes, a sound stone musician, Andrea and Sam, dancers from the city theatre, and Yassin, an organic farmer, together with his hen Spirelli.
We invite everyone who longs for more meaningful and breathtaking encounters in their everyday life.

Serious Movie About Laughing
(Ernster Film über das Lachen) Poetic Documentary
Laughing is often perceived as something frivolous—an expression of fun or superficiality. This film challenges that assumption.
It presents laughter as a form of strength and lightness that emerges from an emotional journey and inner transformation. Rather than escaping pain, laughter becomes a way of moving through it.
The film explores laughter as a skill—one that allows us to rise above the experiences that have hurt us, without denying them.
